If your cardboard boxes are not flattened during paper recycling days it may not be picked up. In recent months we have been encouraging residents to comply with the town requirement to flatten boxes that are left outside during paper recycling days. Many residents have complied. Others have not. Because of COVID-19 many people are purchasing more items via e commerce. On recycling days some residents leave large and small boxes at the curb. If boxes are not flattened our DPW staff needs to make multiple trips to pick up the boxes --a waste of dollars and time.
