The Policemen's Benevolent Association of Westchester County Inc. has joined with virtually every statewide and regional law enforcement association in endorsing former two-term Westchester county executive Rob Astorino for state senate in New York’s 4oth District.  The PBA of Westchester was incorporated in 1914, making it one of the oldest police organizations in the state.  

 

 The PBA of Westchester joins the Affiliated Police Associations of Westchester Inc.; Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff's PBA, Putnam County Sheriffs PBA; State Troopers PBA, New York State Fraternal Order of Police, and all New York City PBAs in backing Mr. Astorino for the state senate over incumbent State Senator Peter Harckham. 

 

In endorsing Mr. Astorino for state senate, PBA of Westchester President Joseph Giustino said, “The Policemen's Benevolent Association of Westchester County Inc. officially endorses Rob Astorino for State Senate on the November 3rd ballot in 2020. Rob's past record of support for Law and Order and Law Enforcement is what we need in these times of unrest. We have confidence in Rob's ability and judgement to fight for a safer New York. We trust and need Rob Astorino in the New York State Senate to fight for Law and Order. The President and the Board of Directors of The PBA of West. Co. Inc. wishes Rob success in his race for the Senate of New York State.” 

 

“I am tremendously grateful for all the support I have received from New York’s law enforcement community,” Mr. Astorino said. “These are the men and women who keep us safe day and night, and the radical policies of Bill de Blasio and Peter Harkham are hamstringing their efforts and putting everyone in danger. I will defend the law enforcement community in Albany, not defund it, and I will do everything in my power to repeal Mr. Harckham’s dangerous no-cash-bail law that triggered the ongoing crime wave.”
