Yonkers Insider: Town of Greenburgh Desk.
SEPTEMBER 1 AT 8 PM --DEVELOPER TO MEET VIA ZOOM WITH COMMUNITY TO DISCUSS SINGLE FAMILY HOUSING CONCEPT AT MAPLEWOOD OFF OF W HARTSDALE AVE Recently, the developer of a proposed Assisted Living Facility at the Maplewood Club off of West Hartsdale Ave withdrew their application (see below).
This morning Building Inspector Steve Fraietta and I spoke with another potential developer who would like to build single family homes at the site.
Up to 18 single family homes can be built at this location under perfect conditions. My guess is that no more than a dozen homes could be built (because of property conditions).
Before the assisted living facility withdrew their application some residents of Hartsdale had contacted me - hoping for single family housing. The developer does not want to invest money in the project if there will be substantial opposition. I have scheduled a meeting on Tuesday, September 1 at 8 P.M.
