Dear Friend and Neighbor,
New York State has begun accepting applications for their rent relief program. The Novel Coronavirus has left hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers unemployed and unable to pay their rent. The COVID Rent Relief program will help New Yorkers who are cost burdened by providing financial rent relief for families who meet the requirements.
This virus has impacted predominantly Latino and Black communities, leaving them facing great financial hardship as a result of losing jobs and income. We need to prioritize all low-income communities and make sure they are receiving the support they need. Our office will continue to operate remotely and will be happy to assist you with your application. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call 917-521-2616.
