Hello everyone,
Since the beginning of this pandemic, we’ve had to adjust our lifestyle to new norms due to COVID-19. However, we can’t let that deter us from completing our civic duties as well as shape a better future. There is strength in numbers and that is why we all need to be counted in the 2020 Census. This is something we have to do NOW for a better future LATER.
The census allows funding for everyday operations and vital programs: schools, hospitals, roads, public works and so much more. The community relies on these service. Completing the census will help us get proper representation, funding and help improve our quality of life. Unfortunately, Southwest Yonkers has one of the lowest turnouts yet. We need to change that! Participating in the census has never been easier than it is today. It can be done online or by phone in the comfort of your own home. It only takes about 10 minutes of your time. Doing so not only fulfills your civic duty, but also helps mold a better future for you and your families and our community as a whole.
Each household will have the option of responding online, by mail or by phone
● [Online] Go to my2020census.gov and use the ID that you received from the Census Bureau in the mail. If you don’t have your ID, you can still go to my2020census.gov and click “I don’t have an ID.”
● [By Phone] Call 844-330-2020 to take the Census by phone.
● [By Mail] You should have received a paper form from the Census Bureau in April. You can fill it out and return it by mail, but we highly encourage you to fill out the Census form online or by phone if you can!
If residents misplaced their Census 2020 forms, they can visit www.2020Census.gov. For more information, visit www.2020Census.gov or call 1-844-330-2020.
