Mimi Rocah has a comprehensive plan to fight back against Donald Trump’s abuse of the rule of law as Westchester’s next District Attorney. With her sixteen years of experience prosecuting corrupt politicians, Mimi has seen how Trump and his administration have hurt our families and undermined our justice system. She knows that fighting back against Trump can start right here in Westchester, by building a transparent, ethical, and fair justice system for all, and she's fighting to make it happen.
Mimi Rocah is a former Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York, serving from February 2001 until October 2017. As an AUSA, she was involved in the prosecution of organized crime, gun traffickers, corrupt public officials, narcotics dealers, sex traffickers, and child predators. In 2011, under President Obama, Rocah was promoted by US Attorney Preet Bharara as Chief of the Westchester Division for the Department of Justice. Rocah served as primary liaison with law enforcement agencies and other prosecutorial offices such as the Westchester District Attorney’s office, and coordinated and co-chaired multi-county task forces on specific issues such as human trafficking and the opioid overdose epidemic. Rocah received numerous Department of Justice awards including the 2016 Women In Federal Law Enforcement Leadership Award.
Prior to her 16 1/2 years as a federal prosecutor, Rocah clerked for the Honorable John Gleeson, United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the Honorable Chester J. Straub, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She also worked as a litigation associate at the law firm Cravath, Swaine and Moore.
