We Endorse Westchester County Legislator Catherine Parker in her bid for US Congress in the 17th District. The seat currently held by US Congresswoman Nita Lowey, who is retiring.

Catherine has been an Accomplished Business Owner and Successful Organizer and She has always been involved in her Community.

She is currently The Majority Leader on the Westchester County Board of Legislators. Catherine has always been a strong advocate and fighter for her constituents that she represents on the Westchester County Board of Legislators. She will be an asset in Congress if she gets Elected, I feel. I strongly support her candidacy in the June 23rd Democratic Party Primary.

Parker's Major accomplishments in office as a Westchester County Legislator are the Following: They include banning single-use plastic bags and Styrofoam containers, establishing an Office of Energy and Sustainability, funding flood control projects, a countywide immigration protection law, a wage theft law, a displaced workers law, and funding for indigent legal services and child care that benefits the most vulnerable populations.

Her successful small business, a travel and lifestyle shop called “Parker’s”, thrived in downtown Rye for 23 years before closing in 2018.

We strongly support Catherine’s willingness to take stands in defiance of powerful party bosses put her political career at risk. She is a fighter for the people and against Political Party Bosses. She will be truly an asset if elected to Congress. We strongly support Catherine Parker for Congress in the 17th District in the June 23rd, Democratic Party Primary for US Congress, 17th District.

Catherine Parker was born and raised in Mount Kisco, NY. Catherine started working at the age of 13 and became interested in political activism at 15. Catherine graduated from Fox Lane High School and has a degree in American Studies from Providence College in Rhode Island.
