Friends, Helping those in need is so important, especially during this time of year. As Thanksgiving approaches, let's all do our part in giving back to the community in any way we can. My office has decided to donate full thanksgiving meals to dozens of homeless families in Yonkers. The thanksgiving packages include everything needed to celebrate! A turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, eggnog, stuffing, a variety of vegetables, pies, and so much more! A big thank you to the Family Service Society of Yonkers (FSSY) for their innumerable efforts in helping our residents, it is my honor to work with such an outstanding organization as well as my parish, The Virgin Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church in helping to make a difference this holiday season. Together we are feeding over 120 families! Thanksgiving morning, my staff will present the holiday food to those families that have been designated to receive such through the FSSY! I hope these small efforts can make the holiday a little more special for these deserving families. Happy Thanksgiving to you all, have a blessed holiday!
