LMCTV Announces Educational Series on The Long Island Sound
MAMARONECK, NY
Starting on Wednesday, August 21 LMCTV (Larchmont Mamaroneck Community Television, Inc.) will present a four-part, educational web series about the Long Island Sound. The series is intended to highlight the beauty of the Sound, educate the Sound Shore community on the environment’s biodiversity, and inspire youth to learn more about the natural wonder right in their backyard. The program is hosted by award winning Marine Biologist and Naturalist Kyle Troy of the Village of Mamaroneck’s Marine Education Center.
The four-part series is a “must watch” for coastal communities with eco-minded families, boaters, and fishermen who want to learn more about The Long Island Sound.
Starting on Wednesday, August 21 the series can be viewed on LMCTV’s website at www.lmctv.org as well as the station’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/lmctv1. Series scheduling will be announced shortly for on-air broadcasting on LMCTV’s channels 75 Optimum and 36 Verizon/Fios.
Since 1983, LMCTV has served the public, education and government needs for local communication in Mamaroneck, Rye Neck and Larchmont, NY. The non-profit station programs three channels seen in more than 85% of households in the three communities subscribed to Optimum and Verizon FiOS cable TV. Programming features municipal and school board meetings, high school varsity sports, and an award-winning newscast, “The Local Live.” LMCTV also enables a host of volunteers to produce their own shows.
