Exhibition: Our Differences Unite Us
"Our Differences Unite Us" highlights the work of five local artists who work in diverse styles and media. While each strives to express their individual vision, they are united by their interest in art history and in the techniques of the old masters, which they study together in a contemporary context.
Featured in the exhibit are the works of Lena Blau, Lily Schor, Robert Schor and Karen Sokol.

Exhibition: Those Who Teach
Not all art teachers are artists and not all artists are teachers, but there are those educators who maintain a thriving art practice outside of the classroom. We want to showcase those teachers who balance the demanding task of teaching while developing ideas and executing creative projects in an art making practice. Curated by Haifa Bint-Kadi
Artists: Nordia Byfield, Doris Cordero, Samantha Curtis, Elizabeth de Bethune, Enrico Giordano, Ysabella HincapiƩ-Gara, Susan Hoeltzel, Laurie Hornik, Kevin McDowell, Teresa Pereira, Dennis Shelton, Fred Spinowitz, and Haifa Bint-Kadi

Photovoice exhibit: Trauma, Healing and Hope, featuring Nnenna O. and Athena Dent
Time: 4:30 - 6pm | Yonkers Room, Riverfront Library
Join us for the opening of "Trauma, Healing and Hope," an exhibit featuring selected photographs and stories from community activists and residents Nnenna O. and Athena Dent. The exhibit raises awareness around disability rights, trauma, and female empowerment by giving a voice to women of color, both who are survivors of sexual and domestic trauma. Their photographic journey documents loss, struggle and redemption as they take steps toward healing. This exhibit will only be on display June 6 from 4:30-6pm.
Presented by Sherley Delia, graduate student at Sarah Lawrence College, and Yonkers Public Library
