Friends and Neighbors,
As the summer unfolds, my team and I continue to highlight the important work happening across our city and beyond. From regional events that strengthen federal and international partnerships to visits that celebrate New York’s rich history and environmental innovation, we are proud to support efforts that uplift our communities and expand opportunities for connection. Whether it’s standing alongside colleagues at civic gatherings or recognizing the young voices shaping our future, we remain committed to building a stronger, more engaged Yonkers.
With high temperatures and unpredictable weather still affecting many parts of our state, we urge everyone to take proper precautions. Please stay hydrated, avoid extended exposure to the heat, and check in on neighbors, seniors, children, and others who may be especially vulnerable. Staying informed and using local resources when needed can make all the difference. From major community events to everyday care and support, we are reminded that our collective well-being depends on how we show up for one another. As always, our office is here to provide guidance, information, and resources to help everyone stay safe and connected.
Finally, I again call for an immediate ceasefire and end to the conflict in Gaza, the West Bank, and the Middle East. The ongoing suffering, starvation, displacement, and war must stop. We must not stay silent with the enormous loss of civilian life, mostly women and children. I strongly urge all parties to release all hostages and prisoners, end the blockade of food, water, and medicine, and start meaningful dialogue which would result in an end of the war and a negotiated settlement protecting the individual liberties and rights of all parties. Enough is enough.
As always, please feel free to reach out to my office with any concerns or questions.
