Early Voting started in Mount Vernon yesterday on Saturday. Always interesting Political dynamic in that City of Mount Vernon. 

This year it's shaping up Battle of slate's between Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee and Rise Up Mount Vernon. Should be interesting to see who comes out on top, particularly in the City Council Race for 3 Seats. Should be an interesting battle between Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee and Rise Up Mount Vernon. 

Mount Vernon City Council: 3 Seats: Democratic Party Primary: Councilwoman Cathlin Gleason, Andre Wallace, Tanesia Walters, Nicholas Mastrogiorgio, Elvira Castillo, Cynthia Turnquest and Bill Schwartz.

Mount Vernon City Committee Endorses Councilwoman Cathlin Gleason, Andre Wallace and Tanesia Walters. 

 Rise Up Mount Vernon Endorses Councilwoman Cathlin Gleason, Elvira Castillo and Cynthia Turnquest.  

Mount Vernon City Comptroller: Democratic Party Primary: City Comptroller Darren Morton faces Benjamin Montgomery. 

Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee and Rise Up Mount Vernon Endorse City Comptroller Darren Morton.

Mount Vernon City Judge: Judge Peter Davis faces Mount Vernon City Councilwoman Danielle Browne. 

Mount Vernon City Committee and Rise Up Mount Vernon Endorse Danielle Browne. 

Early Voting: Saturday, June 14th till Sunday, June 22nd. 

Primary Day: Tuesday, June 24th.

Big ticket item on November Ballot in Mount Vernon: A referendum on changing the City of Mount Vernon form of Government from Strong Mayor to City Manager form of Government. Will be interesting to watch.
