Dear Friends,
As a dog owner, I was saddened by the story this week involving abuse toward a pit bull puppy named Maximus. Thanks to neighbors in our community, our law enforcement agencies, and Yonkers Parks, Maximus is now safe and being cared for until he finds his forever home.
Our Yonkers Animal Shelter has plenty of new friends seeking homes. Please consider visiting or volunteering to help local animals find families.
