Yonkers Insider sat down for an interview with Westchester County Legislator of the 15th District, Gordon Burrows, who is running for Re-Election on November 5th. He represents parts of Yonkers and Bronxville.
We discussed County Legislator Burrows record and he made the following statement: "Over the years, I have worked with several different administrations. My record reflects my wholehearted dedication to protecting our neighborhoods, providing essential services, and maintaining the best possible quality of life for all residents of Westchester County".
About Westchester County Legislator Gordon Burrows 15th District: Gordon has been the Minority Whip for the past eight years. He has consistently worked across the aisle to sponsor Legislation in the best interest of the people of Yonkers and Bronxville. He has sponsored and voted in terms limits and saved the county $20 Million in the new contract negotiated with liberty lines. Gordon has 35 years of Legal Experience and 25 years of Public Service. He has been an asset to the county and deserves to be re-elected. Gordon Burrows resides in Colonial Heights Section of Yonkers with his five children.
Record of Accomplishments from Westchester County Legislator Burrows, 15th District:
Strongly supported ban on synthetic drugs.
Strongly supported ban of limiting and restricting the use of Styrofoam (polystyrene)
Strongly supported resolution which holds Con Edison and NYSGE Accountable.
Voted No to Property Tax Increases every year.
Voted to save and improve Playland.
Voted for restrictions of the outdoor tethering of dogs and also co-sponsored legislation for stricter regulations for pet shelters and a ban on puppy mills.
Protecting the environment and preserving open spaces.
Reduced wasteful spending while maintaining essential services such as Police, Parks and Infrastructure.

He faces Democrat Ruth Walter in a rematch of two years ago, when County Legislator Burrows beat her in a tightly contested race. We will keep our readers posted on this race. This will be one of the most watched Election Race, that we will have in the City of Yonkers on Election Day, November 5th.
