Today Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano announced the city will provide curbside collection of tires on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Yonkers residents may dispose up to four car or SUV tires per household (no rims or large truck tires will be accepted).
To arrange curbside pick-up, residents must make an appointment by calling 914-377-HELP (4357) by noon on Thursday, October 17.
The Yonkers Recycling Center, located at 735 Saw Mill River Road, also will accept tires on Saturday, October 19 between 7:30AM – 4:15PM. Residents must provide proof of residency, bring the items in their own private vehicle (no commercial vehicles) and must live in a one – six family housing unit.
