Friends and Neighbors,
As the summer continues, my team and I remain focused on connecting with our neighbors and uplifting the meaningful progress happening throughout our community. In all our community events, we recognize and celebrate the individuals and organizations driving excellence and positive change. We are committed to the work that strengthens our communities and moves us forward together.
With high temperatures and unpredictable weather continuing, we encourage everyone to stay safe and take the necessary precautions by staying hydrated, avoiding prolonged exposure to heat, and checking in on neighbors, seniors, and loved ones who may be more vulnerable during these conditions. It’s important to stay informed and make use of available community resources as needed. From local events to everyday acts of service, we’re reminded that our community thrives when we look out for one another. Our office remains available to assist with information, support, and services to help keep everyone safe, connected, and prepared.
Finally, I again call for an immediate ceasefire and end to the conflict in Gaza, the West Bank, and middle east. The ongoing suffering, starvation, displacement, and war must stop! We must not stay silent with the enormous loss of civilian life, mostly women and children. I strongly urge all parties to release all hostages and prisoners, end the blockade of food, water, and medicine, and start meaningful dialogue which would result in an end of the war and a negotiated settlement protecting the individual liberties and rights of all parties. Enough is enough!
As always, please feel free to reach out to my office with any concerns or questions.
