YONKERS MAYOR SPANO TO HOST GRAND RE-OPENING OF H. BOO WILSON PARK, UNVEILING EXTENSIVE RENOVATIONS.
Grand Re-Opening Will Include a Community Celebration Event FREE to the Community.
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano will join Parks, Recreation & Conservation Commissioner Steve Sansone, residents, and community members to re-open H. Boo Wilson Park Saturday, September 25 at 1:00 PM at H. Boo Wilson Park (Tuckahoe Road & Runyon Ave, Yonkers), unveiling extensive renovations to the neighborhood park.
H. Boo Wilson is one of the city’s most frequented parks, and the $600,000 renovation includes the complete restoration of the basketball courts, brand-new benches and bleachers, expansion of the existing park and installation of a rain garden, improved drainage, and updated visual outlook including granite seating and storage facilities.
