Westchester Insider: Westchester County Legislator Mary Jane Shimsky 12th District: Metro-North Service Update.

Metro-North Service Update.

Metro-North has resumed limited service today, Friday, Sept 3. Trains will operate an enhanced weekend service on the Harlem and New Haven Lines because of the damage caused by Tropical Storm Ida.

For schedule information, please visit https://new.mta.info/

On the Hudson Line there will be no trains or connecting services until further notice due to significant track and infrastructure damage. Crews will continue to work around the clock to remove trees, mud and other debris from the tracks, restore power and repair damaged tracks from washouts to bring service back as soon as possible.

In addition:

  • There will be no service on the Wassaic, Danbury and New Canaan Branches because of infrastructure damage and the unavailability of substitute buses.
  • On the Waterbury Branch, substitute busing will be in effect and will operate according to the existing weekend busing schedule.
  • For Yankees Game service, there will be hourly shuttle service between Grand Central Terminal, Harlem - E. 125th St., and Yankees-E. 153rd Street station.
  • Weekend service is expected to be in place through the weekend on the Harlem and New Haven lines, and on Labor Day, Monday, Sept 6.
  • Metro-North will be cross-honoring tickets between the Hudson and Harlem Lines and waiving the surcharge for on-board fares.  While crews continue to make repairs, customers may encounter delays of between 10 and 20 minutes.
  • For West of Hudson service, Pascack Valley service remains suspended and the Port Jervis Line will operate on a regular weekday schedule tomorrow, Sept. 3, subject to 30-60 minute delays due to Tropical Storm Ida infrastructure repairs.
