Report Shows Electric School Buses Reduce Pollution, Create Jobs, Benefit Kids Jobs to Move America (JMA) released a report which found that switching from diesel buses to electric buses will decrease toxic pollution, reduce the risk of asthma for children riding on the buses, and create good-paying green jobs. JMA is a member of the NYC Clean School Bus Coalition, which NYLCV founded as part of our public awareness campaign, Clean Buses for Healthy Niños, on the benefits of electric school buses. A new report shows that federal tax incentives and new pollution standards can help achieve President Biden's goal of clean energy by 2035 without adding costs to consumers. NYLCV is part of a nationwide campaign advocating for a comprehensive federal climate infrastructure package that would follow the lead of policies in states like New York. (Axios)

In a joint op-ed, NYLCV partners WE ACT for Environmental Justice and Engineers Labor Employer Cooperative Local 825 teamed up and wrote that passing a $3 billion Environmental Bond Act this year would build communities with clean air, clean water, and good-paying green jobs. (City Limits)

The Western Bays Resiliency Project in Nassau County, which will help reduce nitrogen pollution and improve wastewater infrastructure in the Western Bays received a new Federal Emergency Management Agency grant of $71.8 million. (Long Island Herald)
