Beginning Tuesday, March 30 at 8 a.m., all New Yorkers 30 years of age and older will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Monday. Beginning April 6, all New Yorkers 16 years of age and older will be eligible to receive the vaccine.
Vaccines are available at pharmacies, hospitals, local health departments and Federally Qualified Health Centers statewide, but you must make an appointment to receive a vaccine. Please contact your provider of choice to schedule your vaccine appointment. Appointments are not transferrable.
You may also use the New York State "Am I Eligible" website -- https://am-i-eligible.
In addition to State-run vaccination sites, you could also go to https://vaccinefinder.org/ to find information on vaccine appointments near you.
Remember: The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two doses for effectiveness. For these vaccines, second-dose appointment will be scheduled automatically at the time you receive your first vaccine dose. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine requires only one dose.
