OPENING SCHOOLS

During Councilman Rubbo's third meeting in his Town Hall series, John discusses the Yonkers Public School (YPS) District's plan to reopen in September 2020 with Superintendent Edwin Quezada. John fields questions from Facebook LIVE, in addition to asking the many questions on the minds of parents in the Yonkers School District.  As a parent of a YPS student, John, like many parents, has anxiety about the potential health risks he is placing upon his child when school opens. During this pandemic, there has been a lack of social interaction for children and much more dependence on technology.  The mental health of our children is a major concern of Councilman Rubbo.
