WHEN WILL WORK BE COMPLETED ON THE HEATHERDELL ROAD BRIDGE OFF OF RIDGE ROAD (HEADING TO AF VETERAN POOL)? According to the Contractor’s schedule, the work on Heatherdell Road bridge is scheduled to be completed by the end of October, 2020. This bridge rehabilitation project includes superstructure work which entails, milling the existence asphalt overlay, removing and replacing all existing bridge joints, partial depth concrete deck repairs, and paving a top course of asphalt along with doing all the substructure work which entails concrete repair to the abutment walls, columns, pier caps and pedestals. Crews are there daily which may not be too obvious to the traveling public since the majority of work is taken place on the substructure beneath the bridge.
