"Identity Boxes" Led by teaching artist Haifa Bint-Kadi Workshop for Middle & High school students on ZOOM Tuesday, June 30th from 3-5pm

Deadline to register is Sunday, June 28th by 6pm Registration Required To Receive ZOOM Link : amandaiocousu@gmail.com Participants will learn about the concept of symbolic representation to create an “identity box” that represents both their internal and external selves. Students will explore the works of Glenn Ligon and Joseph Cornell to gain a deeper understanding of how artists use objects and symbols to express their identity. Materials Needed: Colored Pencils, Markers, Colored Paper, Small Cardboard Box, Collection of found objects like used cans, small toys or keepsakes, photographs, candy wrappers, Aileen’s Tacky Glue (or any tacky glue), Scissors as well as any additional art materials you would like to use.
