YONKERS FIRE DEPARTMENT TO EDUCATE YONKERS PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS ON FIRE PREVENTION.

Mayor Mike Spano will join the Yonkers Fire Department and Yonkers Public School students in recognizing National Fire Prevention month Friday, October 25 at 12:15 PM at Yonkers Public School 23 (56 Van Cortlandt Park Avenue, Yonkers).  

This month, the Yonkers Fire Department is visiting Yonkers Public Schools and presenting safety awareness tips and tricks with a special presentation about the importance of fire escape planning, practice and the power of prevention. During the visits, students have the opportunity to tour the “Fire Department Life Safety House” provided by an Allstate Foundation grant in 2001.
