This week, Rising Ground, Inc. presented me with the Thelma Stackhouse Award in honor of 16 year board member Thelma Stackhouse who passed away in 2000.
For years, I’ve been a strong supporter of Rising Ground and its efforts to provide top-notch care to children, adults and families.
In fact, as a former Board Member, I’ve seen first-hand the incredible service it provides to the people of Yonkers and the entire metropolitan region.
Rising Ground is a nonprofit human services organization, located in Yonkers, that provides caring support and proven paths to positive change, helping children, adults, and families rise above adversity.
As Mayor I am proud to be aligned with an agency that ties it all together and believes that despite anyone’s struggle, all of us can rise from where we are today to a better place in the future!
