NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- On Friday, August 23rd, State Senator Shelley B. Mayer will host a special Story Time event with beloved children’s character Curious George at the New Rochelle Public Library. Senator Mayer will encourage children and parents to participate in the Summer Reading Program. Children who participate by reading three books over the summer months, and log their activity at NYRead.com, will receive a Certificate of Achievement from Senator Mayer. At the event, Senator Mayer will read Curious George books, and the audience will have an opportunity to interact and take photos with Curious George.
