Registration Open for Two Elementary Summer Programs!

Yonkers Public Schools is pleased to offer a choice of two summer enrichment programs to District elementary students, at no charge. The Summer Humanities Academy for current students in grades 2, 3, & 4 will take place at Montessori School 31 located at 7 Ravenswood Road, while the Summer STEAM Academy for current students in grades 4, 5, 6, & 7 will take place at the Cesar E. Chavez School, 20 Cedar Place. Both programs are on a first come first served basis, and meet from 8:30AM - 12:00PM, July 8 - 31. Applications are due by Monday, May 13, 2019.

Strong Showing at Tri-County Science & Technology Fair

The Tri-County Science and Technology Fair gave 55 Yonkers Public Schools elementary and middle school students the opportunity to compete in a regional competition held at White Plains High School April 27. The enthusiasm of the Yonkers Public Schools contingent from DiChiaro, Gibran, PEARLS, School 30, and Family School 32 was matched by their accomplishments. Learn more

Fermi Students Now Heading to National History Day

Great news from the New York History Day Competition in Cooperstown, where our very able competitors from the Enrico Fermi School took 1st place in the Group Documentary, and 3rd in Group Performance. Both teams qualify for the National History Day Competition taking place in Maryland in June! Congratulations to all. Link here for more details about this group of young historians.

Saunders Takes Top Spots in NY Skills USA Competition

Eight Saunders Trades & Technical High School students earned medals at the statewide SkillsUSA competition, with four bringing home the gold and qualifying for the national contest next month. Link to more! |
