Yonkers Insider: New York State Assemblyman Nader Sayegh 90th District: Speed Enforcement Cameras Active in New York State Highway Construction Zones.

 

To improve safety for New York highway construction workers, the New York Department of Transportation and the Thruway Authority are deploying speed cameras. For the next few weeks, motorists exceeding the posted speed limit in construction zones where the cameras are deployed will receive a warning notice in the mail. Then later in May, tickets will start being issued. Please, slow down, protect the men and women working to repair our highways. Cameras are being used on both state highways and the NYS Thruway.
