Yonkers Insider: New York State Assemblyman Nader Sayegh 90th District: Judiciary Committee Proposal on Notarizing Signatures.

 

As a member of the Assembly Judiciary Committee, Assemblyman Sayegh will support legislation to improve New York's Online Notary Services. Electronic online notary services now available in the state make it easier for New Yorkers to conduct business and get their signature notarized.

However, the existing program overseen by the New York Department of State is the only one in the nation that often requires additional forms for signatures notarized out of state. The proposed legislation will align New York's online notary rules with those of the other 49 states. Assemblyman Sayegh met with representatives of Notarize, an online start-up that provides signature notarization in minutes.
